The 2024 BET Awards, expertly hosted by the multifaceted Taraji P. Henson, was a resplendent celebration of Black excellence in the entertainment industry. The evening’s festivities commenced with a show-stopping performance by the illustrious Megan Thee Stallion, who brought the audience to their feet with her sizzling renditions of “BOA” and “Where Them Girls At.” The Texas-born rapper’s electrifying stage presence set the tone for a night of unforgettable moments.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the conferral of the prestigious “Lifetime Achievement Award” upon the legendary Usher. The accolade was further celebrated through a dazzling musical tribute, featuring an all-star lineup of performers, including Chlöe Bailey, Childish Gambino, KeKe Palmer, CoCo Jones, Tinashe, Latto, and many more. This spectacular medley showcased Usher’s most iconic hits, cementing his status as a true R&B icon. The celebrated artist also took home the coveted award for “Best Male R&B/Pop Artist,” a testament to his continued influence and success in the industry.

Throughout the evening, over a dozen prestigious awards were bestowed upon some of the most talented individuals in the industry. Among the notable winners was the talented Victoria Monet, who shone brightly with her first-ever BET Award win.
